Konfigurasi Alsa di compaq presario cq35-109 tu

Masalah yang sering timbul setelah membeli laptop dan ingin menginstall linux mungkin salah satunya adalah masalah sound. Kali ini saya akan memberi sedikit tips untuk mengkonfigurasi ALSA di linux secara khusus buat pengguna linux ubuntu dan linux mint untuk laptop compaq cq35-109. Sebelum masuk ke konfigurasi alsa saya ingin menjelaskan apa itu ALSA. ALSA atau kepanjangan dari Advanced Linux Sound Architecture merupakan sebuah komponen kernel linux yang menyediakan device driver untuk kartu suara. Beberapa tujuan dari proyek ALSA pada awal berdirinya adalah konfigurasi otomatis kartu suara.

Berikut merupakan langkah - langkah konfigurasi ALSA pada linux mint 7 Gloria.
1. Buka terminal kemudian login sebagai root.

2. Buka file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.base-conf

lydio-laptop lydio# gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

3. Tambahkan parameter berikut pada diakhir baris

options snd-pcsp index=-2
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m4-1
options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1

4. Buka menu System>Preferences>Sound dan ubah semua pilihan menjadi ALSA

5. Buka /etc/group
lydio-laptop lydio # gedit /etc/group

6. Ubah baris berikut (atau yang mirip, hilangkan semua spasi)
audio : x : 29 : pulse
menjadi
audio : x : 29 : lydio , pulse.

7. Reboot dan tes ulang suara, pastikan semua kanal telah di unmute.

8. Jika parameter “dell-m4-1″ pada file “alsa-base.conf” tidak berhasil, coba salah satu parameter dibawah ini, reboot, dan tes ulang suara.
